What's fresh?

Cauliflower

Navel oranges are sweet, juicy, and at tIn peak season with tight, white heads. Roast with spices for a hearty winter side.

Broccoli

Abundant and crisp. Steam lightly to retain nutrients and vibrant color.

Cabbage

Sweet and dense, perfect for stir-fries or fermenting into sauerkraut.

Carrots

ght and crunchy. Store in the fridge wrapped in a damp cloth to maintain freshness.

Pumpkin

Rich and sweet varieties like Kent are ideal for roasting or soups. Pumpkin with sage, burnt butter and parmesan is delicious over fresh pasta.

Potatoes

Versatile and hearty. Keep in a cool, dark place to prevent sprouting. Try baking whole and servbe with a few toppings like coleslaw, and cheese or chilli beef.

Silverbeet

Sauté with garlic for a simple side dish or make a delicious spinach and feta pie.

Leeks

Mild onion flavor, great in soups and quiches. Clean thoroughly to remove soil between layers. Make a creamy chicken and leek pie for a special winter treat.

Zucchini

Still in supply; grill or spiralize for a healthy pasta alternative.

Sweet potato

Naturally sweet and nutritious. Bake whole or mash with a touch of cinnamon.

Apples

Crisp varieties like Pink Lady are plentiful. Ideal for snacking or baking.

Pears

Juicy and sweet. Choose from Josephine, Williams and Beurre Bosc. Poach in red wine for a classic dessert, or pan fry in butter and serve over porridge.

Kiwi Fruit

Tangy and refreshing. Kiwi are super-healthy and rich in vitamin C. Scoop with a spoon for a quick snack.

Bananas

Reliable and energy-boosting. Great in smoothies or on toast with peanut butter.
